About the Blog:
The goal of this blog is to encourage and inspire those librarians who are responsible for creating displays in their libraries, by sharing ideas, sources of inspiration, and techniques in creating the actual display. I plan on posting pictures of displays that I have done, ones I have seen in other libraries, or ones that other librarians send to me. In addition, I’d like to talk about how to get new inspirations, how to create engaging displays, and generally any other topics that can relate to library displays.
About the Blogger (Julia Patton):
I am the Associate Library Director at the University of Valley Forge. I received my MLIS from Drexel University in 2009. I have been doing displays for Valley Forge since 2007, with an average of 3 or 4 displays per semester. I am an active participant in the Library Exhibits Interest Group of the Tri-State College Library Cooperative. I really enjoy the challenge of coming up with different ideas and creating displays that the students at my library will find interesting.
